Simply beautiful, I love the colours in those fields. Also the foreground is vibrant too. It's really odd when you get the point in either the start or finish of a storm or rain where everything brightens up but there is still this darkness and moody sky. Great work.
Nice view, I like it very much.
But the size of the photo, I think it's a little big...
I have to scroll up and down to enjoy the whole piece... I run a resoulution of 1280x 1024, but in the browser I have to scroll.
If the image was reduced with just 50 pixels at the edges or so, it would be better...
But other than that, great photo!
you should'nt be surprise it machts the lord of the rings. When tolkien wrote the books it was to give us(briton) our own set of myths like the greeks and the rest of europe so you could say tolkien used the lake district as his landscape.
Whoo. What blows me away here, apart from what others have said, is the natural, mulit-layered framing going on here. I mean, how long were you walking to find this exact spot??? The clouds and mountains form two horizontal frames at the top. The near rock and hillside form a diagonal line, while the midrange hill on the right and the valley on the left form diagonal lines that counterpoint it. And of course the farm lines. Just wonderful. Shame it's not wallpaper aspect ratio, but you can hardly tell if you stretch it to fit .
WOW take a bow i love this one just teh colors how smoothe everything is expept the rock i just really like it i wish iw as there taking pictures with you lol that looks like a neat place to take pictures
I can't get over how far you can see and how clear the air is, even on a hazyish day. In California you wouldn't even be able to see those distant hills. And the way the natural and the man-made blend together, it's like another world.
