Artist's Comments

I've been reading about how to expose pictures by taking two shots with different exposures and merging them to create the perfect exposure. Yesterday a break in the clouds gave me a chance to put this technique to the test. I think it turned out very well, and whats more I am well impressed by the amount of detail my new cam picks up!!

Anyway the interesting info came from here...[link] The examples are a bit dodgy but the info is good!

WOW. That sky overwhelms me, the clouds are so sweeping and contrasted against the blue sky and stuff. You know? Plus, the color, shadow, and sharpness of this picture are awesome! <3 Great job!

beautiful picture!
lots of detail!

it would be interesting to look at the two separated shots you made to achieve this one!

but, after all, who cares... the final effect is perfect!
:)

well done and +fav (of course)!

yeah, i have always thought about doing this. The brightness of the sky oftem overwhelms the detail of the foreground, so splitting them will give the detail required in both. Sadly ive never had the patience to do this!!!

Nice picture, nice example. Love the shadows formed by the clouds :D

The blues and greens are great. Clouds are interesting. Too bad the horizon is a bunch of buildings. Still, were this in proper wallpaper size it would be on my screen right away.
