This shot has it all: Foreground, an interesting background, the right focus, light and colours, a beautiful tree which makes half of the frame, rocks, flat land and an monumental building, which is not too heavily in the foreground. An instant fave.
This was composed very well. The castle follows the rule of thirds nicely, the tree is very focused, has nice shadows, and makes a nice frame. Was it your intention to leave some space between the trunk of the tree and left border? It seems like the picture might be a little tighter with this cropped off. I think cropping would definately be a better option than moving the camera to the right, becasue that way you still get the branches of the tree spanning across the entire picture. The rock wall give the pic some interesting depth, and the sky has nice tones.
Thanks very much, I tried a crop with the space on the right cut away but I thought the top left of the picture where the tree branches meet the corner and left edge didn't look as good. I appreciate your input!
Ah yes, I though t I saw a simlar view - the far down there, the castle (?) I remember there was one picture taken by you. Beautiful. I love those little branches - both thick and thin ones, they look like little dancers dancing in the sky, a bit cheesy, but it was just a thought that came through my head
My comment would have probably been different if any cloud was visible in the sky up there. What I like about this view is that there isn't any cloud except the range of heaven-like colours.
The colours are gorgeous, I like how the lighting highlights the overall tree. It doesn't make the tree so lonely looking
this is really lovely with a wonderful feelng; like something out of a novel or fairy tale. i have to say that it does remind me much of wuthering heights. i can see heathcliff riding on the moors now. just beautiful!
keep up the great work, as always
